Donations, goods collected for Turkiye quake victims

District administration has started collection of donations and other articles for earthquake victims of Turkiye in the district. Deputy Commissioner urged the Ulema, social organisations and philanthropists to come forward for depositing cash amount in government account opened for helping the earthquake effected people of Turkiye and to persuade people for collecting different daily used items.

He expressed his hope that people of the district would leave no stone unturned for rehabilitation of Turkish earthquake people in this time of trial. Serving the humanity is great worship and it is a big means to get pleasure of almighty Allah and success in this world and hereafter, he added

On the other hand Deputy Commissioner Umer Frooq Warraich and District Police Officer Dr. Fahad Hussain visited different petrol pumps to review stock, prices and availability of petroleum products to motoriests in the district.

DC and DPO said that on the directions of the Punjab government, solid steps were being taken to ensure uninterrupted supply of oil products to motorists and hoarders and profiteers of oil products would be dealt with iron hands to ensuring provision of oil product to the people on official prices.

DC also imposed fine of Rs.10 thousand to owner of petrol pump situated on Hafizabad-Khankhah Dogran Road. Meanwhile, ADCR ImtiazAli, AC Munawar Hussian, DO Industries and Enterprises Rana Gulfam Haider also checked petrol pumps in the district.
