An astray dog had bit at least 25 people in few hours Monday within the precincts of Federal Capital Area of Liaquatabad Town in district central, Karachi. Among those bitten by the astray dog included a Police officer of S.H.O rank.
Panic gripped the entire district as the dog bit one after another. Municipal or provincial health authorities had not come for the help of the people but thus and those who reached nearby and tertiary care hospitals such as Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, Civil Hospital or Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre were so badly disappointed to know that there was no anti-rabies vaccine available.
Late night, the mad astray dog was found dead behind the bushed in the same federal capital area.
