The Clean and Green South Campaign has been launched in DMC South. The campaign is being carried out in different areas in phases. Deputy Commissioner and Administrator South Irshad Ali Sodhar said that work is being done to fill the potholes on the roads, clear the trees, remove debris, clean the roadsides by scraping the soil and remove the old and rotten banners. Deputy Commissioner and Administrator South Irshad Ali Sodhar on the occasion along with Commissioner Akhtar Ali Sheikh, Superintendent Engineer Mashooq Ali Rajpar, Director Sanitation Asim Ali Khan and other departmental officers monitored the ongoing works during the campaign. Provision is the main responsibility of the local bodies. In this regard, sanitation, street lights, road and sidewalks and maintenance of parks and playgrounds are of paramount importance. Apart from roads, Sindh Solid Wes is also in the streets with the support of the Board of Management, the cleaning process should be made effective and no action should be taken against the concerned officers and staff in case of any complaint of garbage accumulation. Irshad Ali Sodhar said that our Efforts should be made to expedite and improve the provision of sanitation, elimination of encroachments and other local government services in the areas so that the positive effects reach the people as soon as possible and a significant improvement.
