Dispute claim 10 lives in Shikarpur, Khashab

At least six people were killed and 11 others injured when two groups of a tribe clashed over dispute here on Thursday.

Police said that the incident took place in Rustam (Kaccha area) of Shikarpur where armed men of two groups of Jatoi tribe which were in old dispute traded fire.

In cross firing six people from both groups were killed and 11 others were injured.

Heavy contingent of police reached the scene, brought situation under control and shifted the bodies and injured to hospital.

A case was also registered against the armed men of the two clashing groups and investigations were underway.

Meanwhile, it is reported that four people were gunned down by their rivals due to old enmity in Khushab on Thursday morning.

The incident took place on Sundhral Road near Dhup Sarri when the victims were on their way from home in Jhugiyaan for a court appearance.

Their rivals ambushed their vehicle near Dhup Sarri and killed three of them on the spot while the fourth one succumbed to his injuries later.

Two people were also injured in the attack. The police rushed to the spot and took the situation under control. Later, they shifted the bodies to the DHQ Hospital.

Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) Imam Ghani took notice of the incident. The IGP sought a report from the Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sargodha.
