Unruly traffic in Attock City has made life difficult for the pedestrians specially women, students and elderly people as the traffic police mostly remain silent spectator or just perform their routine duties to achieve the set targets given by the authorities.
Different campaigns launched by the district administration and police to make transporters aware of the traffic rules but to no avail. Such campaigns do not bring positive results as traffic police remain lenient to those violating traffic rules.
Most of the rickshaws, motorbikes and tractor trollies are plying on the road with out head lights, indicators and reflectors but no one penalises them and because of these violating fatal accidents take place.
