Director General Gallyat Development Authority (GDA) has relinquished his charge to save him from Contempt of Court proceeding against him. The hon’ble high court has given him time to implement the court order or face the contempt of court proceedings. The court however directed chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkwa to present posting order for Raza Ali Habib on the next date fixed for February 09, 2022.
The Petition filed by Sardar Muhammad Ramzan, through Touqir Ahmad Advocate in which Chief Secretary KPK, Shehzad Alam Bangash and others. In the said CoC the Petitioner prayed to implement the judgment of the Honourable High Court Circuit Bench Abbottabad dated 02/11/2021, in which Peshawar High Court (PHC) consisting of Justice Ibrahim Khan and Justice Shakil Ahmed have declared the appointment of director-general of the Galiyat Development Authority (GDA) as illegal, without lawful authority and of no legal effect, terming it a violation of section 10 Gallyat Development Authority (Amendment) Act 2020.
