Sindh Governor Muhammad Kamran Khan Tessori highlighted the importance of embracing modern technology to keep pace with current development trends during his address at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) event. He stressed that adapting the financial system to the digital age is crucial for rapid development. Governor Tessori praised ICAP’s efforts to align with contemporary needs and commended the encouragement of financial institutions.
He emphasized that leveraging digital technology is essential for modern progress and that the current government is committed to utilizing digital tools effectively. The Governor noted that the Governor House is providing IT training courses to youth and implementing digital solutions for resolving online issues. Tessori revealed that, under the Governor’s initiative, ration bags have been distributed to millions of individuals over the past 20 months, and over 50,000 young people are receiving advanced IT education. He also mentioned that financial support is being provided to individuals with strong proposals for personal businesses.
He pointed out that neighboring countries have advanced in technology, and it is crucial to create new opportunities for future generations. Tessori also highlighted the significance of the SIFC project in advancing national development, noting that it is designed to offer comprehensive facilities to foreign investors. At the occasion Governor Tessori presented Digital Technology Awards to financial institutions that have demonstrated exceptional performance.
