SIALKOT – Sialkot International Airport has denied reports that a Qatar Airways flight made an emergency landing in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Sialkot International Airport spokesperson Umair Khan said a Qatar Airways flight arriving from Doha landed at Sialkot airport on the morning of September 27.
According to the spokesperson, the flight subsequently departed for Doha as scheduled.
Khan said the flight was incorrectly shown at another location on FlightRadar24 due to a technical issue and inaccurate GPS data.
He clarified that the Qatar Airways flight from Doha had landed at Sialkot International Airport, not in Jammu and Kashmir.
The airport spokesperson added that the flight’s landing at Sialkot could also be verified through the radar system operated by the Pakistan Airports Authority.
