Director General Public Relations, Information Department Government of Sindh, Muhammad Saleem Khan, conducted an unannounced visit to various sections of the department, urging officers and staff to ensure their availability during official hours and to perform their duties with full dedication.
Accompanied by Director Admin & Accounts, Mansoor Ahmed Rajput, the DG expressed concern over the absence of some officers and officials.
“Officers who are absent or come late set a poor example, which affects the entire department and compromises official work,” he said, emphasizing that action would be taken against those failing to comply with the rules.
Khan reiterated the directives from the Chief Minister and Chief Secretary of Sindh on the importance of punctuality in government offices. During the visit, the DG also expressed concern about the storage of advertisement records in the corridor of barrack no.96 and instructed that these documents be relocated to a safer place.
He further called for an improvement in overall cleanliness within the office premises. Highlighting the role of the Information Department as the government’s face, Khan encouraged officers to stay updated with advancements in the media industry to enhance their performance.
He assured that more surprise visits would follow to ensure better efficiency in all sections. Director Admin Mansoor Rajput briefed the DG on steps taken to improve departmental performance, pledging continued efforts to meet these goals.
