Director General Lahore Development Authority Ahmed Aziz Tarar has directed the law officers of the authority to pursue under trial cases in different courts with full preparation for facilitating their early decisions for public convenience.
Presiding over a meeting held to review the status of LDA-related cases pending in various courts on Monday, the director general called upon the relevant directorates for immediately sending their input to the Law directorate for earliest drafting and submission of para-wise comments on these cases.
He warned of strict action against officials found guilty of negligence in this regard.
The director general underlined the need for a thorough study of the relevant laws and advised the officers of Law directorates to draft comprehensive answers to the pending cases with full preparation.
He said that all the directors should personally supervise the proceedings on pending cases and hold regular meetings to review the performance of the staff in this regard.
He asked for refraining from unnecessary litigation to avoid wastage of time and resources. He said that interests of LDA should be protected with utmost care.
The meeting was attended by Additional Director Generals Farqaleet Meer, Rana Taka Khan and Usman Ghani, Director Laws Syed Amir Hassan and Abdul Razzaq, Legal Adviser Waseem Ahmed Bhader and other officers concerned.
