DFP expresses concern over Shabbir Shah’s health in Tihar jail

The Acting Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP), Mahmood Ahmed Saghar has expressed grave concern over the deteriorating health of illegally detained senior Hurriyat leader and party Chairman, Shabbir Ahmed Shah and demanded his immediate release.
Shabbir Ahmad Shah has been languishing in infamous Tihar jail in New Delhi for last four years. Mahmood Ahmad Sagar in a statement issued in Islamabad said that according to reliable reports, Shabbir Ahmad Shah is seriously ill and has become very weak physically.
He said that Shabbir Ahmad Shah was already suffering from various ailments and the jail authorities were not providing him proper medical facilities.
He appealed to the international human rights organizations to intervene and play their role in release of the ailing Kashmiri political leader.
Meanwhile, the vice Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL), Syed Aijaz Rehmani in a statement expressed grave concern over the deteriorating health of APHC leader, Shabir Ahmed Shah and demanded immediate release of all detainees including Shabbir Ahmad Shah.—KMS
