A crucial meeting concerning water supply and sewerage management was convened at the Chairman Secretariat Karsaz, chaired by Deputy Mayor Karachi Salman Abdullah Murad. Present at the meeting were key figures including Special Assistant to Mayor Karachi for Political Affairs Karamullah Waqasi, PP Leader Syed Najmi Alam, Dil Muhammad, COO KW&SC Engineer Asadullah Khan, Chief Engineer Sewerage Aftab Chandio, Chief Engineer Water Hanif Baloch, Chief Engineer WTM Zafar Palijo, along with all the Superintending Engineers.
Deputy Mayor Karachi issued directives to all the superintendents of the KW&SC during the meeting, emphasizing the urgent resolution of water supply and sewerage challenges citywide. Tasks such as line cleaning, repairing broken manholes, replacing sunken sewer lines, and addressing other related issues were highlighted as priorities. He stressed the importance of collaborating with all Town and UC Chairmans to ensure better facilities for the citizens.
Recognizing the city’s growing population, Deputy Mayor Karachi underscored that resolving water supply and sewerage issues is a core aspect of their manifesto.
He urged the efficient utilization of resources for further enhancing the city’s infrastructure. Expressing the administration’s commitment, he reiterated their seriousness in addressing water supply and sewerage challenges across Karachi. Highlighting the improvements brought about by the new act governing KW&SC, he noted positive outcomes already emerging from these efforts.
