Department human rights organizes Christmas celebration

Department human rights in collaboration with Christian Care Foundation organized Christmas celebrations at CM House on Thursday. Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar was the chief guest of the ceremony.

Whereas Provincial Minister for Human Rights Ejaz Alam hosted the ceremony. MPAs, dignitaries, religious and political figures, representatives of civil society and a large number of members of the Christian community were present on this occasion.

While addressing the ceremony, the Minister said that all the festivals of religious minorities are being celebrated at the official level. While Christmas celebrations are being held in every public and private institution across the Punjab, which is a commendable step.

He said that the best example of inter-faith harmony is being established across Pakistan that everyone is sharing in the joys of the Christian community.

The provincial minister emphasized that every religion teaches humanity, peace and love. Special songs were performed by kids. The event was also addressed by scholars of different schools of thoughts and religious leaders and expressed their determination to play their full role in bringing peace in Pakistan.
