Punjab has not reported any confirmed Dengue case in the last 24 hours, said Secretary Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department Ms. Sarah Asllam here on Sunday.
The Secretary P&SH Department said that enhanced dengue surveillance is bearing fruits but there is need for extreme vigilance before Monsoon season.
The Secretary P & SHD said, “In the last 24 hours, a cumulative atotal of 29138 surveillance activities were undertaken and dengue larva was identified at 10 spots.
Targetted activities are being undertaken at hotspot areas including fumigation.
Dashboard is being monitored on regular basis.
No patient was admitted in hospitals in last 24 hours. So far Punjab has reported 45 confirmed patients since January 2021.
Dengue surveillance needs further improvement and testing of suspected patients have been scaled up. Larvicidal activities in pre monsoon time are of extreme importance.
