Dengue positive cases crosses 1,000 mark in Rawalpindi

The Rawalpindi’s dengue total tally had reached 1,004 positive cases with the arrival of 39 more patients during the last 24 hours.

Chief Executive Officer, of District Health Authority Dr. Ijaz Ahmad, said that 21 patients had arrived from the Potohar town urban area, eight from Municipal Corporation,four from Chaklala Cantonment,three from Taxila Cantonment and three from outsides the district.

He informed that 902 confirmed patients had been discharged after recovery while 129 patients were admitted to the district’s health facilities of which 102 were positive cases.

During the last 24 hours, Dr. Ijaz said that the district administration had registered 40 FIRs, issued tickets to five, sealed one premise, and a fine of Rs 114,000 was imposed against the violations of dengue SOPs. During indoor surveillance, in the last 24 hours, the teams checked 20,564 houses and larvae were found in 1,234 homes.
