In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, people staged protest demonstrations against anti-people policies of the authorities.

According to Kashmir Media Service, a large number of people, whose structures were on state land and were demolished by the Revenue Department during recent anti-encroachment drive, assembled at Bhatindi crossing in Jammu and blocked the Srinagar-Jammu Highway.

The Indian police registered one more case at Police Station Bahu Fort against the protesters. Earlier, the police arrested one person namely Mohammad Yousaf Wani, for his comments on the anti-encroachment drive in interview on social media.

On the other hand, transporters held a strong protest at Ware House in Jammu against the policies of the authorities and alleged that they were being harassed by the administration.

The transporters shouted slogans against the administration and also in support of their demands. They said new orders are being issued by the Transport Department every now and then just to harass and victimize the transporters.—INP
