Democrats sweep KPC elections again

In the annual Karachi Press Club elections, The Democrats have once again claimed a clean sweep, securing all key positions. Fazil Jamili was elected as President with 560 votes, while Sohail Afzal Khan won the Secretary’s seat with 604 votes.

Imran Ayub secured the position of Treasurer with 668 votes, and Muhammad Mansab was elected as Joint Secretary with 688 votes. For the Governing Body seats, Abdul Hafeez Baloch topped the list with 741 votes. Other successful candidates included Kafeel Ahmed (733 votes), Mona Siddiqui (722 votes), Hammad Hussain (719 votes), Muhammad Farooq (722 votes), Manzoor Sheikh (682 votes), and Qazi Yasir (679 votes).

The polling process began at 9 AM and continued uninterrupted until 5 PM at the Karachi Press Club. Out of 1,507 eligible members, 871 exercised their right to vote. The election process was overseen by the Election Committee Chairman, Professor Dr. Tauseef Ahmed Khan, who ensured the polls were conducted transparently and efficiently.
