NONE is lofty and inevitable than the State of Pakistan. No one can scold the lithosphere or trample the steep cliff. If someone imagines, it is a mirage not a reality. On May 9, last year the PTI led miscreants attacked the state. The PTI leaders and followers ablazed the state installations, Jinnah House (Corps Commander House), several other buildings of the defence forces and symbols of national pride after the continual anti-state provocation of former Chairman PTI Imran Khan himself. One year has passed but it seems the nation still is in the state of trauma. Sombreness will long envelop the hearts of Pakistanis on May 9 every year.
After the fall of Dacca in 1971, 9 May 2023 was another darkest day for Pakistan. For Pakistanis May 9 is martyrs’ day too– a day of remembrance, of reverence, and of profound gratitude for the valiant souls who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our beloved nation. May 9 will always be remembered as the darkest day in our nation’s history. It’s a day that the entire nation will mourn for decades, paying tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for our beloved country. Allah Almighty has said, “Do not call those who are killed in the way of Allah as dead; rather, they are alive, but you perceive it not.” This verse resonates deeply as we honour the sacrifices of our brave soldiers and their families.
The essence of Pakistan’s resilience and fortitude finds its embodiment in the Pakistan Army. For decades, they have stood as a bulwark against threats both internal and external, displaying unparalleled bravery and unwavering dedication to safeguarding our homeland. The day of May 9 will always serve as a solemn reminder of the unity and respect we owe to Pakistan’s defence forces and their soldiers. We solemnly salute the courage and dedication of those who laid down their lives for the defence of our motherland. Their sacrifices will forever be etched in our hearts and minds. Amidst the darkness, there emerged a beacon of hope and resilience. The spirit of unity and unwavering support for our defence forces transcended all divides. It was a moment when every patriot shed tear and every enemy of Pakistan felt a pang of defeat.
The attacks of May 9 will long be marked as a stark reminder of the challenges Pakistan faces, both internally and externally. These assaults on iconic landmarks like Jinnah House and GHQ shook the very foundation of our unity and resilience, with the flames of terrorism engulfing mosques, ambulances and even the symbol of our defence, the GHQ. These incidents underscore the importance of vigilance and solidarity in safeguarding our nation. From the audacious attacks on GHQ to recent acts of terrorism orchestrated by guided individuals, Pakistan has faced numerous challenges. Yet, through it all, the resilience of our defence forces and the unwavering support of our people have remained steadfast. May 9 is not just a day of mourning; it is a day of resolve and determination for the nation. It is a day when we pledge to never let such atrocities happen again on our soil, and when we vow to stand united against all threats to our sovereignty and security.
The Pakistan Army stands as the bastion of resilience and fortitude, embodying the spirit of the nation in the face of adversity. Through decades of service, the army has served as a formidable bulwark against threats, both internal and external, demonstrating unmatched bravery and unwavering dedication safeguarding the homeland. From defending national sovereignty to countering terrorism, the Pakistan Army has continuously showcased its commitment to protect the nation. As we pay homage to our fallen heroes, let us not merely mourn their loss but celebrate their lives and the profound impact they have had on our collective consciousness. Let us draw strength from their unwavering spirit, unshakeable resolve and undying love for the motherland. On this hallowed day, we bow our heads in reverence to the countless men and women who have left an indelible mark on the annals of history through their acts of supreme valour. Their stories are not merely tales of heroism; they are narratives of sacrifice, selflessness and an unyielding commitment to duty.
To the brave sons and daughters of Pakistan who laid down their lives so that we may live in peace and freedom – we salute you. Your sacrifice will never be forgotten; your legacy will endure for eternity. Let us not forget the sacrifices of our heroes and their families. Let us honour their memory by reaffirming our commitment to a united, prosperous and resilient Pakistan. Together, as a nation, let us strive to build a future where such dark days are relegated to history, never to be repeated again. United we stand, for a stronger and brighter Pakistan. May 9 is a day unforgettable and the perpetrators unforgivable. None is lofty and Inevitable than the state of Pakistan. No one can scold the lithosphere or trample the steep cliff. If someone imagines it is a mirage not a reality.
