A grand function was organized by Director Students Affairs regarding Pakistan Defense Day. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi Registrar Dr. Qammar Rabab, and Dr. Adeela Saeed and chairpersons of all departments participated in the ceremony.
Addressing the event Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi Vice Chancellor said that today is the day of the soldiers and martyrs who protected the geographical and ideological borders of Pakistan and defended their motherland. On September 6, our forces crushed the nefarious intentions of an enemy five times of our size. Our enemy who came to wipe out our beloved homeland from the map of the world was badly defeated.
The spirit of defense and self-sacrifice of the people of Pakistan is a shining chapter in our history.
Today is the day of renewed commitment that every citizen of this country will give priority to national interests and security over his personal interest and will never allow any threat to the security of the country.
She highlighted the role of universities that being a beacon for the society, the universities have a great role to play in presenting viable solutions to the problem of floods and other natural challenges being triggered in Pakistan by climate change. At the end, Dr. Raima Nazar, Dr. Sara Musaddiq paid tribute to the martyrs for their tireless sacrifices.
