Begum Samina Alvi, the first lady on Friday expressing grief over the death of renowned playwright Haseena Moin said the ‘country had lost a legend’.
Samina Alvi termed Haseena Moin as “one of her favourite teachers” and recalled meeting with her in recent past.
Dr Yousuf Khushk, Chairman, Pakistan Academy of Letters has also expressed deep sorrow and grief over the demise of renowned playwright Hasina Moin’s.
In his condolence message on behalf of the Pakistan Academy of Letters and his own behalf, he said that Hasina Moin had written several plays for radio, television and stage.
Her well-known TV dramas include “Dhoop Kinaray”, “Aahat”, “An’kahi”, “Tanhaiyaan” and “Kasak”.
