As Assistant Commissioners Price Magistrates, adopt strict procedures for prevention of profiteering and scrutiny of prices.
Dr. Kathu Mil Jeewan directed that staff of Bureau of Supply and Prices should also visit the markets regularly.
Assistant to the Chief Minister will make surprise visits to various markets in Sindh to check the prices of special food items.
Assistant Commissioners / Price Magistrates across the province directed to submit reports to the Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Sindh for the Bureau of Supply and Prices on daily basis.
In any case, the presence of a magistrate should be ensured at the time of bidding in the vegetable market.
Direction to Additional Commissioner Karachi Pakistan Poultry Association promised to set up stalls in Karachi’s Ramadan thrift markets to sell chickens at below market prices.
Pakistan Flour Mills Association agrees in principle to sell flour in Bachat Bazaar at X Mills prices during RamadanKarachi Wholesalers Grocery Association agrees to sell pulses, rice and other groceries in the thrift markets below the wholesale rate.
Stalls should be set up by the Utility Stores Corporation in the savings markets in all the districts of Karachi.
