Deputy Commissioner District South Irshad Ali Sodhar has said that healthy children are an essential part of building a successful nation. This situation is a challenge for us and we will take all possible steps on a war footing to deal with it.
He expressed these views while addressing a meeting on the occasion of World Polio Day to provide awareness on the prevention of this scourge. While administrator Irshad Ali Sodhar said that polio is a dangerous disease which can lead to disability for a lifetime. By providing proper awareness to the people, only two drops of the drug can be saved from this great loss. And work with the police to develop a strategy to address where there is resistance to polio vaccination, as we strive to ensure that no child under the age of five is deprived of the polio vaccine.
At the same time, NGOs have a duty to play their full role in making the polio awareness campaign a success.
