DC reviews cattle market Sharqpur

Sheikhupura Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Asghar Joyia, accompanied by Sharqpur Sharif Assistant Commissioner Maheen Fatima, visited the cattle market Sharqpur on Thursday and reviewed facilities being provided to the citizens who visit the cattle market.

The DC also reviewed arrangements made for car parking and protection of the citizens from the scorching heat at the cattle market.

He directed that medical camps, livestock camps and municipal corporation desks should be set up in all cattle markets of Sheikhupura for the convenience of the citizens where staff is available for guidance of the citizens round the clock.

Mr Joyia said that most effective arrangements have been made for the prevention of Congo virus and dengue virus in all the markets of the district and security arrangements have also been made foolproof for the protection of the people and traders.

The DC informed that points have been set up for the sale and purchase of sacrificial animals in the district and teams have been formed, adding that traders cannot sell sacrificial animals beyond the prescribed points.

He directed the staff to ensure implementation of Corona SOPs in cattle markets and also appealed to people to use masks while going to cattle markets.
