DC orders effective monitoring of dengue larvae

Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali has directed that anti-dengue teams should be present in the field to eradicate the larvae and progress in this regard should be monitored on regular basis.

He said this while reviewing implementation of anti-dengue measures in a meeting of the District Emergency Response Committee held on a weekly basis.

CEO DHA Dr. Bilal Ahmad, District Coordinator Epidemic control Dr. Zulqarnain, representative of PITB Dr Adnan, Education, Health, Social Welfare, Environment, Civil Defense, Livestock, Industries, Labor, WASA, PHA, Punjab Police, TEVTA and other departments were also present.

The DC directed that dengue larvae breeding sites should be checked on daily basis and effective measures should be taken for continuous checking of such places and do timely vector surveillance.

He urged the teams to keep their eyes open in the field and Junkyards, graveyards, plant nurseries should be checked regularly while other hotspots should not be left. He clarified that anti-dengue activities of all the departments should be truth.

He said that the concerned departments should ensure their attendance in the meeting of Tehsil Emergency Response Committees and keep the DC office informed of the proceedings report of the meeting.

He said that prevention of dengue is not possible without the cooperation of the citizens so awareness programs should be continued to make them aware of the implementation of precautionary measures to keep them safe from dengue mosquitoes.

He said that keeping Android mobile phones functional and upload the activities on the portal daily .

During the meeting, District Coordinator Epidemics Control Dr Muhammad Zulqarnain briefed about the performance and surveillance report on anti-dengue.
