Czech Republic’s Krystyna Pyszkova crowned 71st Miss World

MUMBAI – Krystyna Pyszkova, a young model hailing from the Czech Republic, clinched the 71st Miss World title during the Mumbai ceremony.

Outshining 111 contestants in the esteemed pageant, 24-year-old Krystyna Pyszkova from the Czech Republic secured the prestigious title at the grand event held at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, India, on Saturday.

Karolina Bielawska of Poland, Miss World 2022, passed down the crown to her successor.

Yasmina Zaytoun of Lebanon was declared the First Runner-Up in the beauty pageant.

At 24 years old, Pyszková is a student, volunteer, and international model. She is the founder of the Krystyna Pyszko Foundation and is currently pursuing degrees in Law and Business Administration while pursuing her career as a model.

The Top eight contestants representing India, Brazil, Botswana, Uganda, England, Lebanon, the Czech Republic, and Trinidad and Tobago participated in a rigorous Q&A round. Following this, four contestants were eliminated from contention for the coveted title.

Following a series of preliminary competitions in fitness, beauty, talent, and public speaking, 112 beauty queens were initially shortlisted to the Top 40. Later, the number was reduced to the Top 12 and then the Top 8.

After the Final four contestants presented their purpose to business moguls from ‘Shark Tank India’, Pyszkova was announced the winner, surpassing Yasmina Zeytoun of Lebanon, Aché Abrahams of Trinidad and Tobago, and Lesego Chombo of Botswana.
