ISLAMABAD – At least two people, a currency dealer and a security guard, have been killed in a violent confrontation with security guards at Elysium Tower, according to the police.
A security guard, Kawaish Nawaz, was also killed, and three others—Omer Ali, Ijaz Ahmed, and Sohail—were injured in the clash. The incident started when Satti, accompanied by two of his own guards, arrived at Elysium Tower in wee hours. They were stopped by the tower’s security guards who requested identification.
It triggered an argument, and Satti and his companions left, threatening the Tower guards. After some time, Satti returned with eight armed individuals in four vehicles, including one with a green registration plate.
They stormed tower’s reception, causing damage and assaulting guard Kawaish Nawaz, whom they dragged outside and shot.
The gunfire resulted in injuries to Nawaz, Omer Ali, Ijaz Ahmed, Sohail, and Satti. The attackers fled the scene, leaving Satti critically injured. All five injured individuals were transported to the hospital, where both Nawaz and Satti were declared dead.
