ISLAMABAD – Pak Suzuki made changes to Cultus lineup, leaving buyers with fewer choices as the company ends bookings for VXR and AGS variants.
The country’s oldest auto company pulled the plug on new bookings for VXR and AGS with immediate effect in a major shake-up of its popular hatchback lineup. It notified its authorised dealerships through a letter issued on September 1, 2026, titled “Discontinuation of Two Variants of Suzuki Cultus.”
The company directed dealers to stop accepting fresh bookings for both Cultus VXR and Cultus AGS. Sales teams have also been directed to inform existing and prospective customers about the sudden change. The decision means the Cultus VXL is now the only variant available for new bookings and sales through Pak Suzuki.
Suzuki Cultus in Pakistan
Suzuki Cultus remaoned one of top selling models back in the day, positioned between the Alto and other hatchbacks. The current model is based on third-generation Suzuki Celerio and comes with a 998cc three-cylinder petrol engine producing around 67 hp and 90 Nm.
The car traditionally been offered in VXR, VXL and VXL-AGS variants, with manual and AGS transmission options. It seats five passengers and features equipment such as dual airbags, ABS, immobiliser, power steering, electric windows, central locking, ISOFIX and an 8-inch infotainment system, depending on the variant.
Cultus name has a long history in Pakistan, with the previous generation locally produced from 2000 to 2016 before the current model replaced it.
The latest development is significant: Pak Suzuki has discontinued the Cultus VXR and AGS variants and stopped accepting new bookings for them with immediate effect. VXL remains available for booking and sale, making it the sole Cultus variant currently open to new customers.
