Cricketers, umpire banned for three years over fighting during match

South Punjab cricket association has imposed three years ban each on BTM cricket club captain and PCB umpire over brawl during winter inter-club cricket championship.

According to details, the BTM cricket club captain Muhammad Rizwan and umpire Arshad Bhatti started quarrelling during end of match held in connection with winter club cricket championship at Quaid-e-Azam stadium on Oct 23.

The video of the incident went viral and South Punjab cricket association took notice of the issue and suspended both by constituting two members inquiry committee.

Chief Executive South Punjab association in light with inquiry report, imposed ban on the crickter and umpire for three years.

The affectees could appeal against their punishment within one month time period.—APP
