Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq has said that the cracks within the ruling party are visible which also indicate the government ministers are only interested in protecting their own interests and they have nothing to do with the public issues.
Addressing a training workshop at Mansoora on Sunday, he said the PTI exposed itself in 16 months, leaving the masses in desperate situation and bringing disaster in every sector.
He said serious political crises were developed in KPK and Punjab while the central government and Sindh were at daggers drawn on the issue of a transfer of a police officer.
The entire system was wrecked and needed a proper overhauling, he said, adding people must stand to protect their rights and get rid of the political elite.
“There are sugar mafias and flour mafias and few families are sitting on the country’s resources.” Senator Siraj said the ruling elite had badly damaged the Islamic identity of the country and looted its resources with both hands. He said the PTI also proved itself an agent of the status quo and all the slogans it made with the public proved a pack of life.
The PTI, he added, even performed worst than its predecessor. The poor were starving, there were no jobs for educated youth and a no labor for a common man, he said.
The economic policies of the government, he said, led to the record hike in prices of essential commodities and people were unable to meet both ends.
Thousands lost their jobs in past few months and the IMF had virtually taken control of the government affairs, he said. The rulers, he said, must know the fact that Pakistan could not be put on the path of development by following the policies of the IMF and World Bank. The interest free economy, he said, was the key to the development of the country.
The JI chief lamented the rulers completely abandoned the Kashmir cause and provided Indian premier Modi an opportunity to tighten its grip on the held region. He said the government pinned all its hope on US President Donald Trump that he would help out in resolving the Kashmir issue with India. He said Modi and Trump were the biggest enemies of the Muslims and expecting good from them was tantamount to living in fool’s paradise.
Siraj said the Kashmirs would mark the Indian republic day as black days in all over the world. He said solidarity rallies will be taken out across the country on Feb 5.
