In order to contain spread of smog in the district Hafizabad, the crackdown against burring of residues of crops, smoke emitting clines and vehicles in the district and imposed Rs. 28 lakh fine, get register 3 cases, sealed 10 business centre and impounded 585 vehicles. This was informed the meeting of Anti-Smog Committee held at District Complex and Deputy Commissioner Sundas Irshad presided over the meeting.
Assistant Director Environment Protection Naveed Ahmad, Deputy Director Agriculture Muhammad Yousaf, Secretary Regional Road Transport Authority Muhammad AdilSohail and other concerned offices attended the meeting. DC directed the officers to create awareness among farmers about hazards of burning of residues of crops for containing spread of smog.
