Former principal secretary of Pervaiz Elahi, Muhammad Khan Bhatti was presented before the judicial magistrate on Sunday.
The magistrate remanded Bhatti in physical custody for one day. He was handed over to the Anti-Corruption Establishment, Lahore. A few days ago, the Quetta police arrested Bhatti when he was trying to flee to Iran.
Bhatti was first shifted to the ACE, Rahim Yar Khan Region, where a local court sent him on a 3-day physical remand. Two days ago, the RYK court sent Bhatti on judicial remand.
However, the Anti-Corruption, Lahore region submitted a request to the ACE RYK region seeking transit remand of the former principal secretary in a Rs800 million corruption case.
