In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, in a tragic road accident, a couple died after their car rolled down into a deep gorge near Prem Mandir Chenani on the highway in Udhampur.
The deceased were identified as Rohit Vaid (43) of Methra Ramban and his 36- year old wife Manju Devi. The car bearing registration No JK19-2966 was on its way from Ramban to Jammu when it skidded off the road and slipped into a deep gorge on Saturday night.
Local people and police rushed to the spot and took the injured persons to Sub District Hospital, Chenani, where doctors declared the couple dead. After postmortem and completion of all the legal formalities, the dead bodies were, today, handed over to the family members.—KMS
