Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) supremo Maulana Fazlur Rehman said on Sunday that neither the country witnesses political stability nor economic revival.
Addressing an event in Karachi, Rehman said: “The friendly countries are expressing their concerns over the economy of the country. The friendly countries are thinking about how to save Pakistan.”
“Our constitution, parliament, and institutions are not saved. Every institution is looking to intervene in the matters of the other institution,” Rehman claimed.
“Our military, judiciary, and parliament need to work by remaining within their respective boundaries. Our each and every institution is going towards weakness,” the JUI-F chief maintained.
He said, “We lead to uncertainty if implementation will not be made on the constitution.”
“There is a need to bring the change with time. The political interest should not be reflected on any of the change. You cannot deceive anybody else with beautiful words,” Rehman added.
Recalling the general elections that happened on February 8, Rehman asserted: “The elections were not happening in the country but rigging.”
He said: “I know about some part of the draft of the constitutional amendment. I do not feel the draft is fair enough.”
