Sindh Minister for Industries and Commerce and Cooperative Department Jam Ikramullah Dharejo has said that those who are found involved in doubling of the plots in Cooperative Housing Societies, will be dealt strictly in accordance with the law and those involved in this fraud and if there are people in the department, if found too, strict departmental action will be taken against them.
He said this while talking to delegations of affectees of different cooperatives housing societies and their lawyers in his office.
He said that it was regrettable that some corrupt elements deprive middle and poor people of their lifelong income for their ulterior motives and allot one plot to a number of people and then these victims over the years went pillar to post, courts and offices to get justice.
He assured them that all such victims would be dealt with fair justice and strict action would be taken against the elements involved in such fraud.
He said that he would soon visit various co-operative housing societies with the concerned officers and efforts would be made to resolve the problems of these housing societies on the spot.
Jam Ikramullah Dharejo said that every possible step would be taken to improve the issues of cooperative housing societies as the Sindh government believes in providing facilities to all.
He advised the public to confirm with the relevant offices before investing in any co-operative housing society and only invests their money in authentic cooperative housing societies so as not to face any unpleasant situation in future.
He also warned officers concerned not to involve in any corrupt practices and cooperate with the people.
