Following the attacks on police officers in Karachi and Quetta, the Karachi Police Chief on Thursday ordered an increase in the security of the police officers in Sindh’s provincial capital.
Chief Ghulam Nabi Memon has ordered that patrolling and snap checking personnel on police mobiles in the city must wear bulletproof jackets and helmets. Security has been beefed up at sensitive places, important installations, government offices and law enforcement offices in the city on the orders of the police chief.
Besides this, the security of officers conducting operations against terrorists has also been tightened.
It has also been ordered to ensure the deployment of armed personnel along with traffic police officers. It is pertinent to note that the police mobile was attacked three days ago in Federal B Area-Block 22 and in Quetta yesterday.
