Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar paid glowing tributes to the armed forces of Pakistan while addressing as chief guest a seminar held to mark the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq, saying the nation’s military, diplomatic and narrative victory had further strengthened Pakistan’s standing in the comity of nations.
The seminar, organized by the Centre of Pakistan and International Relations (COPAIR) drew a distinguished gathering of diplomats, retired senior military officers, strategic affairs experts, academics, students and youth. The event featured detailed deliberations on national security, regional stability and the strategic dimensions of Pakistan’s recent achievements, with addresses by Federal Minister for Climate Change & Environmental Coordination, Dr Musadik Malik, Air Chief Marshal (R) Mujahid Anwar Khan, Lt Gen (R) Nasir Khan Janjua, Dr Zafar Nawaz Jaspal, COPAIR President Amna Munawwar Awan and COPAIR Chairman Ambassador (R) Khalid Mahmood. Among the noted guests included President and Executive Editor of Pakistan, Mr Gauhar Zahid Malik, Dean of the Diplomatic Corps Ambassador Atadjan Movlamov of Turkmenistan, Rwandan High Commissioner Ms Harerimana Fatou, Ethiopia ambassador Dr. Oumer Hussein Oba and several members of the diplomatic corps.
In his keynote address, Tarar congratulated the COPAIR leadership for organizing what he termed a timely and patriotic seminar reflecting national unity and confidence. He said Pakistan’s success was not confined to the battlefield alone but extended to diplomacy and information warfare, adding that the country had effectively defeated hostile propaganda.
He described the “iron unity” among the people, media and armed forces as the decisive factor behind the victory. The minister lauded the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and praised the Ministry of Information and the ISPR for winning what he called the “battle of truth” against disinformation.
Addressing the seminar, Dr Musadik Malik said Pakistan’s strength lies not merely in weapons or numbers but in national resolve, institutional professionalism and strategic clarity. He said the country had demonstrated that courage, planning and unity can outweigh material advantages, adding that Pakistan’s armed forces had once again proven their preparedness to defend every inch of the homeland.
Former Air Chief Mujahid Anwar Khan said modern warfare is no longer limited to conventional military engagements, but also includes technology, cyber capability and strategic communication. He said the professionalism and operational preparedness displayed by Pakistan’s air defenders had earned international recognition and reinforced deterrence.
Former National Security Adviser Nasir Khan Janjua said Pakistan’s response reflected maturity, strategic patience and calculated precision. He said the country’s security institutions had shown that national defence today requires seamless coordination between political leadership, military command and public support.
Dr Zafar Nawaz Jaspal said Pakistan’s strategic doctrine continues to evolve in line with emerging regional challenges. He emphasized that national resilience, academic research and informed policymaking remain essential pillars of long-term security.
Earlier, COPAIR President Amna Munawwar Awan, in her welcome address expressed gratitude to the participants for their presence and address.
In his vote of thanks, Ambassador (R) Khalid Mahmood said national unity, informed diplomacy and institutional continuity would remain key to safeguarding Pakistan’s future.

The Pakistan forces dealt a heavy blow to an adversary that is many times more resourceful and spends billions on weapons and ammunition. However, the valiant officers and jawans of the Pakistan Forces charged with the passion to defend their Motherland not only frustrated the enemy’s designs but also proved that battles are not fought with weapons and artillery but with commitment and devotion to lay down their lives for their Homeland.
She paid glowing tributes to the Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Asim Munir and his team for foiling the Indian plans to establish hegemony in the region.
