A policeman named Arshad Javed posted at the main gate of the Faisalabad Commissioner’s office allegedly committed suicide, reported a private TV channel.
As soon as the incident was reported, SSP Operations Muhammad Afzal and a heavy contingent of police rushed to the spot and began an investigation.
Police said it was premature to declare whether Arshad Javed committed suicide or something else has happened.
Forensic Science and Crime Scene Unit teams collected evidence from the spot and seized the policeman’s rifle. The dead body was shifted to Allied Hospital for autopsy.
