Former Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir Farooq Haider Khan says conviction of Kashmiri leader Yasin Malik by an Indian court is against international laws. Addressing District Bar Association in Kotli on Monday, he said Kashmiris around the world are protesting against the verdict.

He said according to resolutions of United Nations Yasin Malik is not a citizen of India. Raja Farooq Haider Khan said Modi is targeting Kashmiri youth who turned down his offer and vowed to pursue the path of independence.

He stated that world community particularly the United Nations and the Human Rights Council should take notice of extra law and justice activities of the Indian government based on victimisation of the Kashmiri leadership. “We salute to unprecedented struggle of Kashmiri people and for sacrifices which they rendering to achieve their sacred objectives,” he said.—Staff Reporter
