In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Anjuman Auqaf Jamia Masjid Srinagar has strongly denounced the continued house detention of its chief, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq. The occupation authorities have kept Mirwaiz Umar Farooq under house arrest since August 05, 2019. The Anjuman Auqaf in a statement said that today was the 196th consecutive Friday when the Mirwaiz was neither allowed to perform the impor-tant obligation of offering Juma prayer nor carry out his religious duties, which is extremely sad and con-demnable.
The Anjuman announced that it will organise a Hajj training programme this year in the auditorium of the Islamia School, Rajouri Kadal, in Srinagar on Tuesday May 30, for the practical training of the pilgrims of occupied Kashmir.
It said the Kashmir Valley’s renowned religious scholar Mufti Nazir Ahmad Al-Qasimi, who is Sheik-ul-Hadith Darul Uloom Raheemiya Bandipora, will provide practical guidance to the pilgrims regarding Hajj. Apart from this, it said, the details of Hajj rituals in audio and video form will also be presented for the pilgrims through a projector.—KMS
