Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar has said that keeping the national interest supreme, a quite constructive and skillful diplomacy is being pursued by the incumbent government.
Speaking in the National Assembly on Thursday, she said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf led former government toyed with country’s diplomacy which was unfortunate. She said there was ‘most immature’ handling of the country’s foreign policy during the last three-and-a-half years.
Hina Rabbani Khar said, “We will only serve the state and the Pakistani nation’s interest.” Pakistan wanted to open its doors to other countries and desired reciprocal action by them, she added.
The state minister said when the former prime minister Imran Khan returned from the US after meeting with the then US President Donald Trump, he said that he had felt like winning the 92 world cup of cricket.
She said soon after the meeting the US president, the India prime minister Narendra Modi had taken the illegal action on August, 5, 2019 to change the demographic apartheid of the Indian Illegal Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Hina said the government intended to write to every OIC foreign minister regarding the situation in IIOJK.
