Constable’s daughter tops UoS BA/BSc examination

The daughter of Punjab Police head constable grabbed a gold medal and the overall first position by securing 664 marks in University of Sargodha BA/BSc first annual examinations 2020.
Sana Rehman daughter of Pervaiz Ashraf who was the student of the Punjab College of Science, Sargodha clinched at top and was declared the overall topper of the BA-BSc annual exams 2020 and also stood first in the BSc exam.
Expressing her feelings she said “I am very happy after grabbing top position and maintaining the family decorum of distinctions in education as my both elder sisters had also grabbed positions in board and university exams.”
The result declaration ceremony was held here at Noon Auditorium Sargodha University on Thursday wherein Vice Chancellor Dr Ishtiaq Ahmad was the chief guest while Controller Examinations Dr Muhammad Bashir, Registrar Dr Fahad Ullah, Deans of all Faculties, Heads of various departments, position-holder students and their parents attended the ceremony.
According to the results declared by Controller Examination Dr Muhammad Bashir, a total of 28,627 candidates appeared in the annual examination out of which 9,113 were declared successful. The passing percentage remained 31.88.
Girl students grabbed 5 top positions out of 6 in both science and arts groups.
In the BA exam, 20,720 candidates appeared and 5,755 were declared successful, making the pass percentage 27.82. In the BSc exams, 7,907 candidates appeared out of which 3,358 were successful, making the pass percentage 42.51.
In the BA exam, Faria Mukhtar, a student of Pioneer Science College, Bhalwal grabbed the first position with 632 marks while Measum Abbas, student of Superior College of Commerce, Sargodha clinched second position with 624 marks and Talat Rubab, a private student of Sargodha stood at third with 620 marks.
In the BSc exam, Sana Rehman secured the first position with 664 marks, JameelaMalik, student of Punjab College of Science, Noshehra stood second with 646 marks and Punjab College of Science Bhalwal’s Bushra Zafar was declared third with 642 marks.
