The Excise Police arrested five drug peddlers including an alleged police constable besides recovering narcotics during separate actions here on Friday.
The Excise Police Station Peshawar Region conducted successful operations at GT Road near Haji Camp, Motorway Park at Ring Road side and Bashirabad areas.
During separate actions five drug pushers including Sadiq Khan s/o Inayat, Syed Muhammad s/o Gul Muhammad, Azam Khan s/o Abdul Khaliq, Nadeem Shahid s/o Khadim Hussain, Sajjad Hussain s/o Manzoor Hussain and alleged police constable Abdullah s/o Afnan were arrested.
The police recovered over two kilogram heroin, 2.5 kilogram hashish and 50 gram methamphetamine (Ice) from possession of the detainees.
Secretary Excise Syed Haider Iqbal and Director General Excise Mahmood Aslam Wazir have lauded the performance of the teams which participated in the operations.
