Pakistan Railways spokesperson has strongly denied the news that the railways has ended the travel concession for senior citizens, journalists and students.
He said the Pakistan Railways is running train operations with 60pc occupancy.
He said the train operation remained shut down for 125 days during which the department was facing the loss of Rs 10 million on daily basis.
The lockdown caused the railways a loss of Rs10 billion in two months while 10.26 million passengers were affected by the measure.
He said the concessions have been suspended for the time being and as soon as the situation gets better, the concessions will be restored.
