Commissioner reviews work on modern hockey stadium

A modern synthetic Ostro Turf Hockey stadium in the city of saints has entered the stage of completion.

Commissioner Multan Division Dr Irshad Ahmed visited the hockey stadium site under construction on Mati Tal Road to review progress on the project.

On the occasion, he said that Synthetic Ostro Turf Stadium is the first modern hockey stadium of Multan Division. The Punjab government is taking practical steps for the promotion of sports.

The hockey stadium will be a game changer for the youth of the region. The establishment of playgrounds is essential for the healthy future of the new generation.

Divisional Sports Officer Rana Nadeem said that the hockey stadium will be completed at a cost of Rs245 million and is spread over an area of 80 kanal, which will be completed in December this year. Four flood light poles, 48 flood lights and 250 KV generator are being installed in the stadium. A Rs6.5 million Ostro Turf cleaning machine is also in the process of purchase.
