Cold, dry weather likely in most parts

Islamabad—Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) Wednesday forecast mainly cold and dry weather for most parts of the country during the next 24 hours.
Shallow foggy conditions are likely over plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh during morning hours. According to the synoptic situation, a shallow westerly wave is affecting northern parts of the country and likely to move eastward. Continental air would prevail over most parts of the country.
The minimum temperatures records during the last 24 hours were Skardu -03 C, Hunza -02 C, Kalat and Gupis -01 C. The Karachi meteorological office on Wednesday forecast dry weather in the next 24 hours for the metropolis.
Minimum temperature in Karachi will remain 16 degrees Centigrade with 90 percent moisture in the air. Maximum temperature in the city yesterday was recorded 31 degrees Centigrade.
Mainly, dry weather is likely to prevail in the mega city. Meanwhile, Multan Met office has forecast dry weather with chances of mist in the morning for the city and its suburbs during the next 24 hours. On Wednesday, maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded as 26.0 degrees centigrade and 12.5 degrees centigrade, respectively. Humidity was recorded 88 per cent at 8am and 50 per cent at 5pm.—APP
