Cold, dry weather expected in most parts of country

Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country during the next twelve hours.

However, fog is likely to develop over a few places in plain areas of Punjab during early morning hours. Temperatures of some major cities recorded on Tuesday.

Islamabad ten degree centigrade, Lahore thirteen, Karachi twenty, Peshawar eleven, Quetta one, Gilgit seven, Murree three and Muzaffarabad six degree centigrade.

According to Met Office forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, cold and dry weather is expected in Srina-gar, Pulwama and Baramula, cold, dry and foggy during morning hours in Jammu, very cold and partly cloudy in Leh, cold and partly cloudy weather in Anantnag and Shopian.

Temperature recorded this morning: Srinagar two degree centigrade, Jammu eight, Leh minus eight, Pulwama and Bara-mula three, Anantnag and Shopian two degree cen-tigrade.

On the other hand the Met Office on Tues-day has forecast mainly cold and dry weather in most districts of the province while very cold in the hilly areas during the next 24 to 48 hours.

Shallow fog in isolated places is likely to occur over Swabi, Mardan, Nowshera, Charsadda, Peshawar and DI Khan districts during late night and morning hours.

Shallow fog is also likely to occur over Pe-shawar to Swabi Motorway (M-1) and national highways.The weather remained cold and partly cloudy in most parts of KP during last 24 hours, however rain occurred in a number of places in the province.

The chief amount of rainfall was recorded as: Mardan 01mm, Saidu Sharif 4, Balakot 26, Chi-tral 1, Kakul 14, Dir 5 and Malamjabba 6. APP
