Cold, dry weather expected

Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most plain areas of the country, while very cold in northern parts and northern Balochistan during the next twenty-four hours. Dense fog and smog is likely to persist in Islamabad, plain areas of Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and upper Sindh.

Frost is likely to occur at few places in Kashmir during morning hours. Temperature of major cities recorded this morning:

Islamabad three degree centigrade, Lahore seven, Karachi seventeen, Peshawar four, Quetta zero, Gilgit minus-four, Murree one and Muzaffarabad two degree centigrade.

According to weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, very cold and dry weather is expected in Srinagar, Shopian, Pulwama and Baramulla while partly cloudy and very cold in Leh. However, cold and dense fog in Jammu.

Temperature recorded this morning. Srinagar, Shopian and Baramulla minus-three degree centigrade, Jammu seven, Leh minus-ten, Pulwama and Anantnag minus four degree centigrade.—INP
