The joint parliamentary party meeting of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and its coalition partners on Friday assured full support to Prime Minister Imran Khan and vowed to stand with him in any circumstances.

After the meeting, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Syed Shibli Faraz expressed the hope that PM Imran Khan will easily get vote of confidence from the National Assembly today (Saturday).

Talking to media after parliamentary party meeting of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and its allies, the minister said almost all the members belonging to PTI and its allied parties reposed their trust in the leadership of Imran Khan in the meeting, which will be demonstrated in the parliament as well.

Syed Shibli Faraz said Imran Khan believes in politics of morality and not in the politics for power.

He said our party took practical steps to eliminate the culture of money from Pakistan’s politics.

He said unfortunately, the opposition did not cooperate with the government for transparency in the Senate elections.

Shibli Faraz said that Prime Minister Imran Khan will emerge stronger after getting the vote of confidence from the National Assembly.

He expressed the hope that Prime Minister Imran Khan will easily get the vote of confidence from the NA.

The minister said that the government had tabled a bill in the assembly to hold the Senate elections through the open ballot to stop horse-trading but the opposition opposed the bill.

The opposition wanted to use corrupt practices in the Senate elections, hence they opposed the open balloting.

Minister for Science and Technology Chaudhry Fawad Hussain also spoke to the media and said that 179 MNAs will repose trust in Prime Minister Imran Khan today (Saturday).

According to sources, PM said that he knows 16 members of ruling PTI sold their conscience and urged the party members to vote according to their conscience as selling vote for money is dishonesty.

The prime minister took all the members in confidence over his decision to seek vote of confidence.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that the member who does not trust me, should express himself openly.

Sources said that the PTI members chanted slogans in favour of the PM while members from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa became emotional on the occasion.

The sources also said that PM has directed party MNAs to stay in Islamabad until the session of NA summoned for vote confidence.
