Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Parvez Elahi took a stern notice about the death of a few days old infant owing to the negligence of the staff members in the ICU ward of Mayo Hospital and sought a report from the Secretary Specialized Health Care and Medical Education (SHC&ME).
CM ordered to investigate the sorrowful incident from every aspect.CM stated that the death incident of an innocent infant tantamount to serious negligence and a lapse from performing duty.
He added that the insects kept on creeping on the face of the infant and the staff members present on duty kept on slumbering. CM directed to take an indiscriminate action against the staff members responsible for negligence and strict action should be taken against the concerned staff members.
CM maintained that it is his responsibility to provide justice to the heirs of the innocent infant.CM expressed his heartfelt sympathy and grief with the heirs and assured them provision of justice at the earliest.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Parvez Elahi said that the role of rural women in the agricultural progress is of great importance adding that progress in the agricultural sector without the participation of rural women is impossible CM in his special message on the International Day of Rural Women said that the rural women play the role of a vanguard to increase agricultural production besides ensuring food security.
He stated that the important role of women cannot be overlooked in strengthening the rural economy. He lauded that the rural women by working shoulder to shoulder with the men in the fields contribute their significant part in strengthening the rural economy adding that time has come that the rural women should be granted their due rights.
He highlighted that our government is actively working for the progress of rural women and for the protection of their rights.
He maintained that taking steps to bring betterment in the state of affairs of the rural women is our responsibility.
