Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz stated that those who did not cast their votes are also human beings, poor as well and getting Ramazan package is also their due right. Ramazan package will be granted to everyone. Levelling allegations on a political government is quite easy. No one is my favourite and I am answerable to Allah Almighty first and to the people thereafter. Transparency will be ensured at every level and the stigma of corruption will not be tolerated.
All phases with regard to provision of Ramazan package should be transparently carried out. CM chaired a high-level meeting to review proposals about the mechanism of Ramazan package preparation and its distribution. Maryam Nawaz ordered to launch a strict crackdown against the hoarders in the Ramazan bazar. She issued necessary directions to the Punjab Food Authority to ensure the quality of edibles in the Ramazan package. CM while addressing the participants to undertake strict action to ensure the quality and quantity of edibles. CM underscored to ensure transparency at every level. She stated that she would herself pay a visit to every possible site to monitor the distribution of Ramazan package adding that she would make a surprise visit at the time Ramazan package distribution. She said that the performance of every district will be ascertained through the score card. Their will be a healthy competition between all the districts in this regard. The Deputy Commissioners will carry out checking in their relevant districts and will submit a report. Videos of the whole Ramazan package distribution process will be made and they should be sent to the CM office and to the Chief Secretary Office. Maryam Nawaz directed all concerned to undertake a surprise checking for the transparent distribution of Ramazan Package. The checking of Ramazan Package will be carried out in three phases. Hopefully, every district will strictly carry out the checking of Ramazan Package. Deputy commissioners will check the samples and boxes of ramazan package by getting opened them opened to judge quality and quantity of six edibles. The checking report of Ramazan package should be submitted to the Chief Secretary office without any discrimination. The administration should undertake visits of various sites being allocated for the distribution of Ramazan package on daily basis. The presence of police personnels is mandatory at the allocated sites for the Ramazan package distribution so that no untoward incident can occur. Unrest and mismanagement can take place if visits are carried out without the help of police to witness the Ramazan package distribution process. CM while addressing the commissioners and deputy commissioners that she wants cleanliness of the whole province in one month may it be municipal or a rural area. She stated that she knows the ways to monitor the cleanliness process adding that she would herself oversee cleanliness process.
No road, town, street, village or ground should be left uncleaned. She directed to eliminate wall chalking through whitewash adding that the election posters and banners should be removed and cleanliness should be promoted. Cleanliness should be undertaken in a real sense. Out of order sewerage and drainage problems should be resolved. Bumpy and dilapidated roads should be repaired so that their beauty can be restored.
